Leeds City Council’s
Parks and Countryside Service has an excellent, established horticultural
apprenticeships programme. We now have 2 exciting opportunities to become an
Apprentice Animal Keeper at Tropical World, and Lotherton Hall.
You will receive
extensive on the job training, a recognised relevant qualification (Animal Care
Apprenticeship) from a leading college and the opportunity to participate in
master classes which will significantly enhance the learning experience and
outcome.
Our customers expect
to see a commitment to conservation and education as well as the highest
standards of animal care and fun for all. You will also have the opportunity to
learn about leadership skills, health and safety, effective communication and
team working. You will be paired with an experienced member of staff who acts
as a mentor to help guide you through your apprenticeship.

the most prestigious attractions in Leeds, each of which will be receiving
significant financial investment as part of an ongoing development programme.

Salary (Grade) -
£9.18 per hour
