Trainee Keeper - Mammals

aignton Zoo, one of
the largest in the UK and a registered scientific and education charity, has an
exciting opportunity for a Trainee Keeper to join our Mammal team. The role involves the day to day husbandry of
a large and diverse collection of primates focusing on animal welfare,
bio-security, record keeping and ensuring that exhibits are maintained to the
highest standards.
Previous experience
within a zoo or similar establishment would be an advantage. You will have a basic knowledge of husbandry
practices and how they are implemented and be reliable with good time-keeping
and attendance.
This position is to
work 38.75hrs per week, with currently 1 weekend off in 3.
Salary is on an age
related pay scale.
