Primary Responsibilities

Reporting to the Section Team Leader/Deputy Section Team Leader to ensure the park runs effectively. Maintaining a professional approach to customers and colleagues. Ensuring the health and welfare of all animals and the health and safety of yourself, fellow colleagues and guests at all times. Delivery of engaging and informative talks and interaction with our guests to promote an exemplary guest experience.

 

Key Work Objectives

· Feed all animals adhering to the instructions given.

· Ensure that sufficient feed is available for the next feed session.

· Make sure the feed room is left clean and tidy at all times.

· Ensure each animal’s nutritional requirements are met.

· Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all animal enclosures.

· Monitor all animals for signs of illness, injury or distress and promptly report any concerns.

· Interact and engage with visitors wherever possible, ensuring that health and safety protocols are consistently adhered to.

· Ensure record sheets are maintained and kept up to date for each animal as required.

· Ensure you are up to date with and signed off on all RAPS (Risk Assessments and Protocols).

· Answer guest queries in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.

· Promote and facilitate a memorable guest experience.

· Deliver engaging and informative presentations on our resident species to audiences of all sizes throughout the day.
