Rhino Keeper - Port Lympne Wild Animal Park

Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, situated in the south of Kent near Folkestone, is an established wild animal park with significant success in the captive breeding of rare and endangered animals.

We are looking for an experienced keeper to join the Rhino Section which currently houses 13 black rhino, the largest group of black rhino in captivity outside of Africa. Port Lympne works in conjunction with the South African Nation Parks to reintroduce black rhino to Africa. The section is also responsible for the parks Giraffes.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar environment with previous experience working with rhino. An experienced rhino keeper is preferred; however consideration will be given to applicants with a demonstrated background in animal husbandry, animal conservation or other aspects of animal care. A full valid driving licence is essential.

Working hours are 40 hours a week, five days out of seven.
