Curator Intern - Taronga Zoo
Taronga Zoo is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Scientific Research and Wildlife Conservation team. This temporary position is for up to 2 months.
The Curator Intern will assist the Senior Curator in collection planning and management including the maintenance and review of the animal collection plan, initiation of animal transactions, involvement in the region's species management programs and the development, implication and review of the collection management standards and practices.
Applicants must have knowledge of captive animal husbandry; and animal taxonomy and biology of animals or experience in a related industry. Applicants will also have experience and an understanding, or the ability to readily acquire an understanding of collection management practices and principles.
