Castle Espie is set on the shores of the stunning Strangford Lough where almost the entire population of light-bellied brent geese reside in the winter. Our state-of-the-art, environmentally and visitor friendly wetland centre has recently undergone a major £3m re-development.
We are now looking for a commercially focussed individual to take it forward, ensure its effective operation and growth and firmly place it on the map as the best wetland reserve in Northern Ireland.
This exciting role involves a wide range of responsibilities including the overall day to day management of the centre, development of business opportunities, the promotion of the centre and our vital conservation work.
Experience of running and managing a commercial operation is essential and knowledge gained within a visitor attraction would be beneficial. The ability to communicate, motivate and use IT effectively is essential, as is the need to have an empathy with our conservation work.
