Gorilla Keeper - Howletts Wild Animal Park

Howletts Wild Animal Park in conjunction with The Aspinall Foundation is a dedicated charity committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programmes.

Howletts park have enjoyed un-parallel success in the breeding of many endangered species in captivity, our long term objective has always been the introduction of captive breed species back to their natural habitat and we have had some notable successes with this.

Currently Howletts and Port Lympne parks are home to the largest captive breeding group of Lowland Gorilla s in the world with over 100 births to date

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team of dedicated gorilla keepers. Candidates with experience of working with gorillas in a senior keeper role within a mainstream animal collection or a related field of in- situ conservation is preferred. However, we will consider candidates who have animal keeping experience in less senior roles.

Candidates must be physically fit, work well as part of a close knit team with good communication skills. A valid driving licence is essential.
