Team Manager Primates

Team Manager Primates
Almere
The Netherlands

At AAP we transform our ideals into a profession. We make the world a better place for abused or neglected animals. We provide shelter for primates and small to medium-sized exotic mammals that have suffered in illegal trade, circuses and laboratories or simply at the hands of private owners. We find suitable new homes for our animals in wildlife reserves, zoos around the world or in our own life time care centre in southern Spain.

On the other hand, AAP has a department working to prevent animal welfare problems in the first place through better legislation, regulation and law enforcement; in the Netherlands as well as in Europe. We work in an active and strategic level together with professional partners at a national and international level. Furthermore, AAP is an internationally authoritative knowledge centre.

AAP employs about 70 people and has a similar number of volunteers. We are housed on a spacious and modern location in the middle of the green area near Almere in the Netherlands. The result of our efforts can be seen directly in our animal enclosures where each of the on average 300 animals get the best possible care.

You will be part of a focused, professional team of colleagues: from caretaker to fundraiser, all with the same purpose of helping animals or trying to prevent that any animal will need our help in the future.
