Job Title: Dolphin Internship (Unpaid)
Location: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, BWI
Responsibilities: Dolphin Cove are offering an exiting and engaging internship for those individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the marine mammal training field.
This internship experience will provide the opportunity to work very closely with Atlantic Bottle Nosed Dolphins supervised by a professional, experienced trainer.
Gaining marine mammal training skills, human care knowledge and first hand experience by assisting with daily husbandry, training sessions, lagoon maintenance and other related duties.
Requirements: Successful candidates should posses a positive attitude, good communication skills, observation and organizational skills and the ability to accept direction, work well with others as part of a team and have an interest and general knowledge in marine life and conservation.
Candidates must commit to a 3-month internship plan, including weekends and bank holidays and must prove they can financially support themselves for an unpaid three-month stay on Grand Cayman.
Dolphin Cove cannot provide accommodation however will advise on available local rentals.
If selected, candidates must also obtain and provide a clean police report and medical insurance coverage.
