Trainee Keeper - Reptiles, Amphibians and Invertebrates
Marwell Wildlife is a registered charity dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity and other natural resources.
We are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Keeper to work within our Reptile, Amphibian and Invertebrate department.
Roles and responsibilities will include ensuring high standards of animal welfare, health and animal husbandry at all times and keeping daily checks and records.
Applicants will need to have an interest and basic experience of working with captive and / or wild reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates, but also a flexible attitude with regards to working on other sections, hold 5 GCSE’s or equivalent and a valid driving licence for the UK.
The successful candidate will be able to work well as part of a team, have the ability to use their initiative, display interest and commitment to animal welfare and conservation, and must possess strong verbal communication skills as talking to members of the public is an essential part of the role.
