Dublin Zoo holds the prestigious position of being ‘Ireland’s Number One Fee Paying Family Attraction’ having welcomed in excess of 1 million visitors in 2011.
We are currently seeking a zoo professional for the position of ‘Keeper’ within Dublin Zoo. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and passionate about wildlife, with the skills required to communicate this passion and knowledge directly to our visitors.
He/she must demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of modern zoo practices in animal husbandry, diets and environmental enrichment, as well as an understanding and knowledge of research, conservation and health and safety practices.
Further requirements include; a minimum of 3 years experience in a Zoological Garden and/or Wildlife Park and a Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline, e.g. zoology or other wildlife related science.
