Deputy Head Keeper
Zoo and Wildlife Solutions Ltd. Is recruiting, on behalf of a client, a Deputy Head Keeper for an exciting new animal based, children’s attraction in Epsom, Surrey.
The collection consists of domestic farm animals and is expanding to include zoo animal species such as wallabies, mara, reindeer, fallow deer, porcupines, parrots and waterfowl.
We are looking for an enthusiastic keeper to be responsible for the day to day care of the zoo and exotic animals. Particular interest in behavioural enrichment, training and handling would be an advantage.
You will be expected to lead the animal department in the absence of the Animal Manager so this position would be ideal for a more experienced keeper looking for career progression.
You must hold a recognized animal care qualification.
Salary starting at £14,000 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
