Qualified
Animal Keeper – Bird Team
We
have a position available as a Qualified Animal Keeper on a newly forming bird
team at Marwell. This is an exciting time to join us as the team and bird
section develops. The position would suit a keeper who has experience working
with a variety of bird species including penguins and flamingos.
Roles
and responsibilities will include ensuring high standards of animal
husbandry at all times and keeping daily checks and records.
Applicants
will need to have previous experience in animal husbandry, ideally working in a
zoological collection, hold 5 GCSE’s or equivalent and a valid driving licence for the UK
The
successful candidate will be able to work well as part of a team, have the
ability to use their initiative, display interest and commitment to animal
welfare and conservation, and must possess strong verbal communication
skills as talking to members of the public is an essential part
of the role.
