Instructor / Technician – Animal Management
£16,776 - £20,595 (depending on qualifications)
12 Months Fixed Term
The post holder will
work under the direction of the Animal Management Centre (AMC) Manager in maintaining outstanding
animal husbandry standards, with a particular emphasis on assisting with the
management and development of our avian collection. The post holder will also
undertake practical instruction and assessment of groups of students and other
trainees as required. They will work with other animal professionals as part of
a wider team so must be a great team player, effective communicator,
enthusiastic and be committed to evidence based animal management.
Candidates should be educated to at least
level 3 in a relevant vocational subject e.g. DMZAA, Animal Management,
Veterinary Nursing, Biological Science or Zoology Degree. Candidates must also
be able to demonstrate significant professional experience working within an
accredited animal collection.
The post holder will be required to work weekends on a rotational basis.
