FULL TIME ANIMAL KEEPER.
Blairdrummond Safari and Adventure Park is situated midway between Glasgow
and Edinburgh and just 4 miles from Stirling. We are a small privately owned
safari park set in 125 acres and home to over 300 exotic and domestic
species.
A full time permanent position has become available for a qualified
experienced animal keeper. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years employment
in a zoological collection and hold an industry recognised qualification.
The successful candidate must have a strong generalist zoological background
and preferably have previous experience working with lemurs. The successful
candidate will display interest and commitment to animal welfare, conservation,
and have strong verbal communication skills as talking to the public is an
essential part of the role. Applicants must also have the ability to work
independently using their own initiative and be pro-active in maintaining a
department.
Roles and responsibilities will include high standards of animal husbandry,
monitoring animal group behaviour and keeping records.
A full valid driving licence is required.
