Newquay Aquarium seeks Displays Supervisor
An opportunity has arisen for a Displays Supervisor
to join Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay.
Responsible
for all displays, our animals include sharks, rays, giant pacific octopus, sea horses,
corals, coldwater and tropical fish and invertebrates.
The responsibilities of the Displays Supervisor will be
varied, challenging, but extremely rewarding.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Zoological
Team to ensure the team achieve the highest standard of animal care and
husbandry.
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing
displays and exhibits - promoting public education and awareness in relation to
conservation of biodiversity and delivering a memorable and entertaining
experience to visitors.
As a key part of our aquarium management team you will be
required to carry out some duty management.
This post is full time, with weekend shifts on a rota’d basis.
A minimum qualification level of a degree or equivalent in
marine biology is required and previous experience in the visitor attractions
sector would be advantageous.
