This voluntary position offers a unique opportunity to work in this small, friendly zoo in Lincolnshire, UK, where your input will really make a difference.
This position will provide you with practical experience that will facilitate a career in conservation, animal behaviour, education or zoo management. You will organise researchers, help them set up their research projects and facilitate communication between academic and sanctuary staff and the researchers. You will help design new ways of communicating research, conservation and factual information to the visiting public and start to develop resources for teachers and school children that fit with the National Curriculum. You also have the chance to gain hands on experience of caring for the animals (more details in job description) and devising fundraising schemes.
