zoological park, Marwell Zoo, with its wide array of exotic and endangered
species and the family of talented people we employ who share our passion and bring
our vision to life.
A great opportunity
has arisen for a Zoo Veterinarian to join our team on a permanent basis.
The successful post-holder
will provide veterinary care to collection animals,
promoting the highest standards of animal welfare, continue to develop
preventative health care programmes and continue the development of Veterinary services
at Marwell in conjunction with the Head of Veterinary Services.
The successful
candidate will be a Member of the Royal College of
Veterinary Surgeons and hold an RCVS recognised veterinary degree or
equivalent. The post holder must have experience with zoo, wildlife or exotic
pet species and knowledge of all taxonomic groups. A post
graduate qualification in zoo medicine or an applicable discipline would be
advantageous.
Applicants must
have clear and effective written and oral communication skills, have good
budget management skills and be highly organised, with the ability to meet
numerous demands working to tight deadlines. Applicants must be IT literate
with good Word and Excel skills.
Due to the need to
drive park vehicles, candidates must also hold a full driving license valid for
the UK
