zoological park, Marwell Zoo, with its wide array of exotic and endangered

An exciting
opportunity for a Project Manager has arisen as Marwell embarks on an inspiring
programme of work, incorporating a series of major exhibits in accordance with
our master plan. The purpose
of this new role is to manage a variety of building projects from conception to
completion, alongside our current Project Manager. Such projects will range in
size and budget, from multi-million pound new animal exhibit builds to smaller
scale guest facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with and co-ordinating Marwell Project teams and external
contractors
- Developing design briefs and reporting on tenders to the Executive
Team, ensuring appropriate sign off
- Inspection of project sites before, during and after completion,
providing technical advice as required
The successful
candidate will have previous experience of working within a similar role, to
include experience in the following areas:
- budget management
- CDM and ISO 14001
- adherence to relevant construction regulations and compliance with
Health & Safety provisions

Reporting to the Finance Director, this
role requires strong communication and IT skills, together with experience of
financial reporting. Applicants must be able to build and maintain excellent
relationships with existing departments and ensure minimum disruption to our
park and guests throughout. Experience of using CAD and a Project Management
qualification such as Prince2 or equivalent would also be advantageous.
