Senior Bird Keeper – Full Time

Tropical Wings Zoo is currently looking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual with a lifelong passion for aviculture to join our dedicated team of animal care staff. The section manages a range of bird species including psittaccines, softbills and birds of prey and a range of small mammals.

The ideal candidate will have:

·        A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience with a wide range of bird species and ability to demonstrate a substantial working knowledge of the natural history and management of key species

·        Previous supervisory experience

·        An animal-related qualification

·        Excellent communication skills and be able to participate fully in our education and presentation programmes

·        Animal training experience desirable not essential
