About the role
Heading up our
Animal Behaviour team, you’ll be in charge of how we present our animals to our
guests. But it’s not just about running the various displays and wowing our
adventurers with amazing facts, we also want you to bring your own ideas for
new shows, new animals and new ways we could interact. One of your key
objectives will be to lead, motivate and develop the Presentation team,
ensuring all delivery is of an excellent standard of Safety, Guests Service,
Education and Animal Welfare. You will assist and support the Assistant Zoo
Operations Manager and other Head of Sections in animal husbandry and staff
management. Finally you will research, develop and implement the most current
animal training techniques and procedures with the team and stock.
About you
Ideally you will be
qualified in animal management, and you’ll certainly bring plenty of husbandry
and training experience. But every bit as important as your practical knowledge
will be your creativity and head full of bright ideas. You will be a logical
thinker, pioneering in your approach to guest service. You will embrace our
vision of untamed fun at Britain’s Wildest Adventure. You will have experience
of recruiting, training and leading a team, to delivering KPI’s in line with
business objectives. You will have working knowledge of Microsoft Office,
Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
