Zoological Society has a vacancy for the position of Host for our Keeper for
the Day (KFTD) and Animal Experiences programmes at Bristol Zoo Gardens,
Clifton, Bristol. These popular guest activities are being expanded, we
therefore have a new position to support the current Host by either accompanying
participants as the Host for KFTD or an animal experience or to provide keeper
support while an experience is being delivered by a senior keeper.
You
will need to deliver a high quality service including ensuring that everything
is in place before the experience starts, meeting and greeting the participant
when they arrive and answering any questions that they may have. You must have excellent communication skills
and have the ability to deal with any problems that may arise.
This
is a full-time position and will include working weekends, bank holidays and
occasional evenings to support the zoos evening events programme. Training will
be given but the successful applicant will preferably already have some experience
of working with zoo animals and will enjoy working with people.
Applicants
should be educated to at least GCSE level and to include English and a
biological science. Due to internal
