Position: Animal
Ranger, Two permanent openings, 39 hours per week
Salary €25,800.00 to
€26,574.00 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
Tayto Park,
established in 2010, is a dynamic zoo, adventure & theme park located in
Co. Meath, Ireland and less than one hour from Dublin.
Successful
applicants will be experienced animal rangers and have at least five years
full-time experience working with a variety of taxa, including big cats. Education to include English and biological
science. Applicants who hold the Diploma in the Management of Zoo and Aquarium
Animals (DMZAA) or equivalent degree would be preferred.
You must be
enthusiastic, hard-working, team player with sound knowledge of the
conservation and education roles of zoos. Candidates must deliver a high
standard of animal husbandry, welfare and care of the animals in their given
sections. Experience with ZIMS, record
keeping, nutrition, enrichment and public speaking are desirable.
