Full-Time Position
Salary £25,620

A unique position has arisen within the Animal Team at Bristol Zoological Society to provide assistance to the Senior Curator in addition to holding curatorial responsibility for the Bird Team.

The successful candidate’s main responsibility will be to support the Senior Curator in the day-to-day management of the animal department as well as managing the daily operations of the Bird section and animal food stores.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate significant experience of delivering high standards of animal care and welfare in a multi species animal collection, together with specialist curatorial responsibilities for a bird collection.

You will have a relevant animal husbandry or biological science qualification and experience of managing a team of people including producing efficient staffing rosters in a 7-day/week working environment.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week as part of the departmental 7 day roster, which will include weekends Bank Holidays and some evenings.
