Fixed term contract
until 31st August 2016
Full Time (working 5
days per week including one weekend day and a requirement to work bank
holidays)
Salary: £14,807 - £17,200 per annum dependent on
experience
Tropical Wings Zoo
is a small but forward-thinking and dynamic organisation with an emphasis on
interaction and education. We are
seeking a dynamic, confident and bubbly individual to join our team of
Keeper/Presenters for the summer season in our renowned Tropical House. You should have a proven interest in
entomology, aquatics and horticulture.
As a keen presenter
you will engage visitors about our animals, conservation and the natural world,
presenting information in a lively and interesting way to audiences and
interacting with visitors during encounters as well as undertaking the daily
animal husbandry for the resident animals in the Tropical House.
In order to be
successful in this fantastic position you will have:
- Experience
of delivering presentations in a similar capacity
- Excellent
communication skills and be highly innovative, enthusiastic and motivated
- Fantastic
customer service skills
- The
willingness and ability to learn a vast amount of information about our animals
- An
animal related qualification is required
- Adaptable
to different working environments
