Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is an award winning visitor attraction set
amidst a beautiful natural valley in North Devon. We are dedicated to providing
the highest standard of care to our diverse and interesting collection of
animals. We have a fantastic team of enthusiastic and hardworking staff who are
constantly striving to offer a fun and educational day out to our visitors.
We
are seeking a seasonal animal keeper to join our team. The successful candidate
will be responsible for looking after a range of animals including tropical
birds, birds of prey, small omnivores and livestock. They will also assist in
our daily “Animal Antics” show and support other sections around the zoo when
required and appropriate.
Candidates
should have an animal related qualification and previous zoo experience is
desirable. The successful applicant will be hard working, a good team player
who is also confident working under their own initiative. They will also have
excellent public speaking skills and be confident delivering educational talks
to visitors. Good communication skills and an excellent customer service ethic
is vital. Being situated in a valley, applicants should be physically fit. A full clean UK driving licence is
advantageous due to our location.
This
position is 40 hour/week including weekends, bank holidays and some evenings
lasting until November.
