Blair Drummond
Safari and Adventure Park is situated midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh just
four miles from Stirling. We are a small privately owned Safari Park of 125
acres and hold African/exotic and domestic species.
We require a full
time animal keeper for a period of up to 12 months (maternity cover) to work with the elephant, rhino,
giraffe and zebra as part of our Large Mammals Department.
The successful
applicant will have a zoological related qualification or apprenticeship and
would be required to start with us as soon as possible.
Applicants must have
a minimum of 12 months continuous employment in a zoo environment.
You will be working
within a small dedicated team of keepers and will share a passion for improving
animal welfare and public awareness of species within a captive habitat. The role will involve strenuous, physical and
challenging tasks ranging from daily husbandry and animal training including
talks to the public.
Salary is negotiable
and a full clean driving licence is essential.
