BIRDS AND MAMMALS
Tropical Wings Zoo
is one of the best interactive Zoo attractions in Essex. We pride ourselves on providing a unique
animal experience with fun for all age groups.
We are currently
looking to recruit an experienced Head of Displays to be responsible in
providing entertaining, informative and interactive animal encounters
throughout the zoo.
Main duties:
• To
present entertaining, factual and educational animal encounters to our visitors
• To
train and care for a wide range of species, including Coati’s, Lemur’s, Owl’s,
Parrot’s and Skunk’s
• To
train existing and new Keepers on methods of presentation and engagement with
our visitors
• Devise
new presentations as and when required for new encounters, new species and
relevant public holiday attractions
This individual will
be the principal trainer at Tropical Wings who will be responsible in training
a number of animals as well as providing presentation methods to existing and
new members of the team.
The ideal candidate
should have a proven presentation and husbandry skills, together with a
flexible, ‘can do’ attitude.
Qualification in Zoo
Animal Management or equivalent is also essential.
