Wild Place Project
is a beautiful and rapidly expanding part of Bristol Zoological Society.
We are extremely

our attractions, as well as providing a memorable experience for all of our
guests.
We are really
excited by the new addition of giraffe to our site this year and to help our
site develop this project, we are recruiting for two roles to join our Animal
Department.
We have one
full-time position and one part-time position both of which will be working as
part of the section rota, which will include weekends and bank holidays.
Key elements of this
position include a range of animal husbandry, including nutrition and health
management.
The successful
applicant will be able to demonstrate a proven record of expertise in animal
management, with particular experience of working with giraffe. Previous
employment and/or voluntary work in a recognised animal collection, wildlife
rehabilitation or field conservation programme is essential.
The full-time
starting salary is £18,217 per annum for keepers with appropriate professional
qualifications (e.g. DMZAA or relevant degree plus work experience). The
full-time starting salary is £15,581 per annum for the unqualified keeper
position, until such qualifications are gained.
