An exciting
opportunity to work in a unique location – Living Coasts, Coastal Zoo and
Aquarium, is looking for an animal keeper.
Living Coasts is
home to seals, otters, penguins, a wide number of sea birds and wading
species. The aquarium includes local
coastal species, rays, archer fish, four eyed fish, octopus and more.
The ideal candidate
will have a minimum of two years’ experience working at a zoo or aquarium. We
are looking for a proactive person with excellent knowledge of animal welfare
and animal handling alongside good observation skills and accurate record keeping.
You will be able to work under your own initiative with excellent attention to
detail. You will be a self-disciplined
team player with a positive attitude to join the team. The job will involve
cover on all animal sections when required.
Desirable would be
an interest in diving or a dive qualification, DMZAA, a degree or qualification
in a related subject.
