Fixed term contract for five months

Hanwell Zoo is an award winning animal centre in Ealing, West London. We are looking to recruit new members to our highly successful team. The animal centre plays a key role in the local community and houses a number of exotic mammal and bird species.
We are looking for an individual with practical experience in a zoo setting to assist in the daily care and husbandry of the animal collection at Brent Lodge Park.
The successful candidate will have a relevant animal husbandry qualification and be willing to work towards or already possess the diploma in the management of zoo animals.
The development of the animal collection and the education provision we provide has been key to the success of the animal centre.

The successful candidate would have to
· demonstrate their strengths in the above areas
· demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to interact
with visitors
· a high level of customer care.

The successful candidate would also be expected to work with a number of community groups and volunteers on a regular basis.
You will be expected to work on a rota that incorporates 3 out of 4 weekends and bank holidays as well as varying start and finish times.
