South Staffordshire College are looking to appoint a
number of Animal Keepers on a casual basis for its successful onsite Animal
Centre.
The Casual Animal
Keeper will be responsible for the daily care of a range of animals at
Rodbaston Animal Centre.
Duties will
include the daily feeding and monitoring of animals, housing maintenance and
development, assisting
with breeding programs, environmental
enrichment of animals, daily health care, stock control of feedstuffs and other
sundries, health and safety/ risk management, interpretive material development
and maintenance, record keeping, supervision of students, work experience and volunteers
and liaison with the teaching team to facilitate practical sessions.
The successful
applicant will be a good team player and have experience of working with
animals and an understanding of animals, their behaviour and their
requirements.
