An exciting
opportunity to work in a unique location, Living Coasts, Torquay’s Coastal Zoo
and Aquarium, is looking for a keeper to work within the Animal Department.
Living Coasts is
home to seals, otters, penguins, a wide number of sea birds and wading species
the aquarium includes local coastal species, rays, archer fish, four eyed fish,
octopus and more.
The ideal candidate
will have a minimum of two years’ experience working with bird species at a zoo
or similar and will have completed the DMZAA qualification or will have over 4
years experience. We are looking for a person who has worked within a bird department,
with excellent bird husbandry skills. You will be a proactive person who can
work under their own initiative with excellent attention to detail and a
self-disciplined team player with good observation skills and accurate record
keeping and a positive attitude to join the team
