Marine Mammal Intern
Description
Job Summary: This is
a paid internship. Interns are responsible for the general care and maintenance
of all marine mammals in assigned areas. Areas may include Dolphin Harbor, Sea
Lion/Walrus Stadium, and Toyota Stadium.
** 3 month position
with possible extension up to 9 months upon evaluation and staff needs. Due to
this, applicants with flexible availability is preferred. Six Flags will be
hiring 2 positions to begin in March and 2 additional positions to begin in May.
**
Primary
Responsibilities:
Retrieval of food
from freezer and delivery to animal areas.
Diet preparation and
record keeping.
Maintaining
cleanliness of all assigned animal areas.
Maintaining
cleanliness of offices and locker rooms.
Learning show
scripts and performing show parts as assigned.
Assisting with
educational programs and guest relations.
Assisting with
animal care, feeding, and training sessions as assigned.
Other duties as
requested.
