is looking for an experienced veterinarian to join our expanding team in Dubai,
UAE.
Dubai is a growing,
liberal city in the Middle East. It is centrally positioned with equal travel
times to Asia and Europe and a great hub for globetrotting. It has the
shopping, nightlife and restaurants of any international city but also the
benefit of beaches, desert camping and the climate for an outdoor lifestyle. It
almost never rains!
Two Feet Four Paws
has two branches (Dubai Land and Palm Jumeirah) that deal with small animal and
exotic pets. We are a local referral centre for exotics and the leading private
veterinary contractor for private and public animal collections in the region.
This includes an increasing number of large public aquaria, and a number of
private and public wildlife collections dealing with the full range of zoo and
aquarium species.
The candidate is
required to assist with the growing workload of the zoological veterinarian at
the practice. The position would require the candidate to take a lead in the
care of exotic animals at the clinic while both assisting in and expanding the
external zoological / aquarium work of the business.
A good sense of
humor and great interpersonal skills are a must. We are a close team of 5 vets,
7 nurses (qualified and assistant) and 6 support staff with a cooperative goal
of high-quality medicine / surgery and customer care. The Hospital is well equipped with all the
usual toys, including everything needed to perform high quality medicine and
surgery on exotics.
The position would
suit a veterinarian with at least 5 years’ combined experience in exotics/small
animal / zoological work. A postgraduate qualification in Zoological Medicine
such as a Certificate or MSc (WAH) would be favorable.
Base salary is
30,000AED per month (tax free) with production based bonus. There is a 5 day
working week with some weekend work. One
month Annual leave with return flights and 5 days CPD leave with allowance
provided.
Applicants must be
able to become registered with the Dubai Municipality / Ministry for which 5
years of continuous post graduate employment must be shown.
