 Full-time, Permanent, Paid

Manor Wildlife Park is seeking a highly motivated applicant who is knowledgeable and has been awarded with a DMZAA or equivalent qualification. The successful applicant will be part of a small team, working with a range of exotic species whilst helping to deliver the highest levels of animal husbandry. The role of Animal Keeper is a varied one, and the successful candidate will get the chance to work with several species, from large carnivores to hoof-stock, small mammals, and birds. Your roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to, all elements of animal husbandry, enclosure maintenance, animal training, and delivering talks and VIP experiences. The successful applicant will work as part of a team of experienced keepers whilst report to and take instruction from the senior keeper at all times.

The ideal applicant should have:

· Minimum experience of 3 years in a recognised zoological institution

· Notable experience with large carnivores

· Experience with positive reinforcement training

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· An ability to work to your initiative

· DMZAA or equivalent qualification

· A full UK driving license (requirement)

· Firearms training (preferable)

This is an intermediate-level position. The position is available for an immediate start, with successful applicants required to perform a trial day as part of the interview process.
