Perfect
for those just starting in the zoo industry; Manor Wildlife Park is looking for
highly motivated applicants who are willing to learn on the job and have either
been awarded or are working towards a professional zoological qualification.
The
successful applicant will be part of a small team, working with a range of
exotic species whilst helping to deliver the highest levels of animal
husbandry. The role of Animal Keeper is a varied one, and the successful
candidate will get the chance to work with several species, from large
carnivores to hoof-stock, small mammals, and birds. Your roles and
responsibilities will include but are not limited to, all elements of animal
husbandry, enclosure maintenance, animal training, and delivering talks and VIP
experiences.
The
ideal applicant should have

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•
An ability to work to your initiative
•
Working towards the DMZAA or equivalent qualification
•
A full UK driving license (Desirable)
This
is an entry-level position, with full training being given to the successful
candidate. The position is available for an immediate start, with successful
applicants required to perform a trial day as part of the interview process.
