About the job

The Dynamic Habitats Support Manager, will oversee daily husbandry operations of the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi aquarium population including fish, reptiles, and invertebrates. Manage and develop the Dynamic Habitats colleagues. Oversee the care and maintenance of all guest-facing displays as well as quarantine facilities. Responsible for area resourcing, development, communication and the operation of the animal area in the absence of the assigned Zoological Manager.

 

The job scope includes:

  • Being responsible for supporting the Zoological Manager in all operations of animal area
  • Develop all colleagues working in Dynamic Habitats team
  • Maintain and improve the high standards of animal care and welfare at SWAD facilities that meet or exceed all professional zoo/aquarium accreditation standards
  • Maintain open and continuous lines of communication with the Zoological Director, Zoological Manager, and other Zoological Department leaders
  • Develop and update resourcing plans for the Dynamic Habitats (Aquarium) area.
  • Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of colleague performance, engagement and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Encourage and demonstrate professional communication internally and with all departments that interact with the Zoological department
  • Supervises, trains, and coaches colleagues while ensuring proper training and development in accordance with SEA and Farah Experiences guidelines.
  • Assists in the evaluation of departmental colleagues including annual performance reviews and development plans.
  • Supervises the entire SeaWorld Abu Dhabi dynamic habitats collection (fish, reptiles, and invertebrates) in line with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment global zoological goals and initiatives, including all aspects of behavior, health and husbandry, acquisition and disposition, and guest contact and interaction programs
  • Develop and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for guests, colleagues, and animals
