The Iberian Lynx National Breeding Centre (CNRLI)

The Iberian Lynx National Breeding Centre (CNRLI)

++ Unpaid opportunity ++

(with accommodation and food stipend)

The Iberian Lynx National Breeding Centre (CNRLI) volunteer programme has 4 open vacancies for the beginning of August of this year, with the duration of 3 months. The Centre is located in Silves, Portugal, and the volunteers will integrate the Ethology and video surveillance team of the CNRLI.

The volunteering occurs within the field of Ethology and Animal Behaviour and all the volunteers will have specialized training and lectures on this subject.

We are seeking motivated people, ideally with a background in the Natural Sciences field and high interest in volunteering at CNRLI during this important period for the small cubs born in April. During this phase, the cubs will go through a process of “Reintroduction Training”, where specialized techniques will be used for the stimulation and evaluation of hunting and human evasion behaviours, competences that will be essential for their survival when they are released in the wild.

Housing will be provided (for free) and European volunteers may receive a food stipend of 4,77 € for each worked day. For those who aren’t Portuguese, fluency in English or Spanish is required (both written and spoken).

For more information and/or application, you can send your CV to cnrli.voluntarios@gmail.com
