SHORT FIXED TERM KEEPER  POSITION


LOCATION: Near Fowey in Cornwall

We are looking for an Animal Keeper who is looking for a temporary position
Starting in Jan/Feb for 3 - 6 months Fixed Term.
To assist us in caring for our Animal Collection. You would be working with
A varied range of species including Clouded Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Fossa,
Sun Bear, Great Hornbill, Giant Red & White Flying Squirrel, Shoebill and various
Primate Species. You would also be required to prepare and feed animals, clean enclosures and animal housing and carry out basic maintenance of enclosures and keep grounds tidy and maintained with a small amount of gardening.

We are looking for a hands on mature, experienced self motivated individual with the right passion to care for these species to en excellent standard. It would suit an individual looking for a limited time at one facility to gain a new experience or learn the husbandry of some specific species.

The keeper would need to find their own accommodation in the nearby area.

SKILLS REQUIRED

* SELF MOTIVATED
* IDEALLY MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS AN ANIMAL KEEPER
* GOOD COMMUNICATION AND ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS
* MUST HAVE AN EXCELLENT STANDARD OF HYGEINE
* ABILITY TO MONITOR ANIMALS HEALTH AND WELLBEING
* FULL DRIVING LICENCE

HOURS 08.00 TILL 18.00, 5 DAYS OUT OF 7
MONTHLY PAY £1,600 - £2,200 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
PAID BONUS AT END OF TENURE
