37.5 Hours per week
to be worked on a rota basis to include weekends, bank holidays and evenings in
line with business requirements.
Salary £28,775 with
free, on-site, family accommodation provided.
Slimbridge Wetland
Centre is evolving and a fantastic opportunity has arisen to lead the animal
collections team.
We are looking for a
dynamic, energetic, focussed individual who has a proven track record in
developing and leading animal care teams at a well-renown animal institution.
You will be responsible for delivering the centre’s living collection plan and
work with the teams to present engaging and immersive animal exhibits to the
highest standards of animal welfare in accordance with zoo licensing
regulations.
You will have
responsibility for over 2,500 birds, a variety of wetland mammals and a leading
UK collection of over 50 species of amphibians.
You will work
closely with other departments to drive operational improvements across the
site to achieve an amazing, surprising, inspiring and engaging visitor
experience, delivering WWT’s visitor engagement strategy and animal
presentations as the centre goes into a sustained period of growth and
redevelopment.
The Wildfowl &
