Sealife Adventure is the south-east's number
one premier aquarium. Situated in Southend, and owned by the Stockvale group of
companies, Sealife Adventure is home to an array of stunning marine life and
mammals and boasts over 50 beautiful displays.
We are looking for someone who is passionate
about caring for all types of animals to join our dedicated team of
aquarists/Keepers as soon as possible. This exciting position will involve
carrying out husbandry duties for the creatures in our care, helping to
maintain our various life support systems and helping to develop our displays –
you may get the opportunity to make a lasting impact on Sealife Adventure by
creating entirely new exhibits.
If this all sounds like something you would
love to do, then we would love to hear from you. It’s essential that the
candidate has experience with aquatic animals. It would be fantastic if you
also have experience with Mammals which include Macaques and Meerkats. For an
extra bonus, we also have our brand new Butterfly house which needs caring
for. A qualification in Marine
Biology/Animal Husbandry or similar would be an advantage, but opportunities
for training and professional development are available for the right
candidate.
This job will be hard work! This means that
you will need to have a strong work ethic, with a passion and dedication for
your job. Someone who can also provide excellent customer service and can
deliver public talks would be ideal for the role. A flexible approach to
working hours is essential.
