Is animal care your
passion? Do you have experience in the operation of animal care facilities? Are
you outgoing, physically fit, organised and reliable?
Brooklands Zoo has a
vacancy for a Keeper to cover a period of parental leave from September 2014
until January 2015.
Brooklands Zoo is
within the internationally renowned Pukekura Park. It is a free, family focused
zoo that is home to a variety of species. The successful candidate will work
with a dedicated team of animal care professionals to maintain this animal
collection.
We are looking for
someone who has or is working towards a recognised animal husbandry
qualification. It goes without saying that you will have great animal care
skills and experience in dealing with a wide range of captive animals. You will
be self motivated and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. A
can-do attitude is also essential. A
manual drivers licence is required as well as being available to work weekends
and public holidays as rostered.
