Trainee Animal Keeper

A vacancy has arisen for a Trainee Animal keeper at Africa Alive!.

This full-time position would suit an enthusiastic and flexible individual. Working to a high standard under the direction of the Head Keeper, you must be prepared to work with all kinds of animals and will also provide support for the rest of the keeping team as and when required, working under their guidance with a variety of domestic and exotic species.

Applicants must be hard working, conscientious, honest, trustworthy and will be expected to work weekends and Bank holidays. Some animal experience is desirable but is not necessary, as full training will be given. However, a keen interest in zoo animal husbandry is essential.

Accommodation is available.

A full driving licence is essential for this position. Salary will depend on age and experience.
