seeks Quarantine Aquarist
An exciting
opportunity has arisen for an experienced pro active individual to join us as a
Quarantine aquarist.
About You
A degree or
equivalent in a relevant biological science is advantageous, as is previous
relevant experience in the visitor attractions sector. Practical experience of
working with marine and freshwater fish and invertebrates, plus knowledge of
aquarium life support systems are essential. Excellent IT skills and attention
to detail are also required.
About the Role
You will have
responsibility for our off show area and quarantine facility which serves our
seven public aquariums across the UK plus involvement with our central 3.7
million litres shark exhibit. Special access all area tours are an optional
guest experience and you will be responsible for ensuring a memorable occasion.
The role will
include collation of records to Zoo Licensing standards along with assisting in
the operation of the Aquarium’s other displays.
This post is full
time, with weekend shifts allocated on a rota basis.
