All working 80 hours per fortnight
Salary £14,905 - £17,510 per annum, dependent on qualifications

Bristol Zoological Society has three vacancies for animal keepers on its Mammal Section at the Bristol Zoo Gardens site in Clifton, Bristol.  One positions if permanent, two positions are temporary covering maternity leave. 

All three positions will be working 80 hours per fortnight as part of the departmental 14 day rota, which includes weekends and bank holidays.

The successful applicants will be experienced zoo mammal keepers and must have at least two years’ full time experience of working with a variety of zoo mammal species, great ape experience would be an advantage.  You will be educated to at least GCSE level, including English and a biological science, and holding the Diploma in the Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals ( DMZAA) < or equivalent, will be an advantage. The ability to work within a team and having a general knowledge of the conservation and educational roles of zoos is also required.
