An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pro active individual to
join us as a Marine Aquarist.
About You
Already
have relevant experience in the visitor attractions sector working with marine
fish and invertebrates and knowledge of aquarium life support systems. Have an
infectious enthusiasm for creating stunning and innovative displays and keen to
share knowledge with colleagues and guests. A degree or equivalent in a
relevant biological science is advantageous.
About the Role
You
will be responsible for maintaining and developing marine displays and exhibits
- promoting public education and awareness in relation to conservation of
biodiversity and delivering a memorable and entertaining experience to
visitors. In addition to your main responsibilities on the marine systems, you
will also assist the rest of the Zoological Team with the running and
maintenance of all the Aquarium’s other displays, including our freshwater,
reptile and amphibian exhibits.
This
post is full time, with weekend shifts allocated on a rota basis.

taking guests on a journey of underwater discovery. It is home to Europe’s
largest collection of sharks housed in a 3.8 million litre exhibition display.
