With its brand new
multi-million elephant facility due to be open this summer, award winning
Blackpool Zoo is currently looking to fill a trainee position within its
Elephant Section.
The successful
candidate will be working in a protected contact system and will be assisting
in all aspects of the section’s work, daily husbandry including training. The
successful applicant will be required to work as part of a close knit team and
will be able to demonstrate good communication skills.
You will need to be
hard working, physically fit, enthusiastic and reliable. In return we will
offer you a 3 year fixed term contract and full on the job training plus the
opportunity to take the Diploma in The Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals.
