Woburn Safari Park
is home to some of the world's most magnificent and endangered animals. The
park consists of a Foot Safari, Road Safari and catering outlets and is enjoyed
by families looking for a fun day out. It
is also home to The Safari Lodge, a unique events venue.
The Animal
Encounters department is currently recruiting for reliable, confident team
members to join the animal team on seasonal fixed term contracts until November
2018.
Working as part of
the successful animal team you will be responsible for maintaining a safe
environment for both you and the visitors by adhering to associated risk
assessments and protocols without exception.
You will be expected
to practice high levels of animal husbandry, training and enrichment; as well
as ensuring the visitor experience is exceptional.
The successful
applicants should demonstrate a passion for animal welfare & conservation,
be highly motivated, flexible and committed to Woburn Safari Park’s high
standards of husbandry and welfare. Due to the wide variety of species on this
large and busy department, candidates must have previous practical experience
of working with a range of animals.
As this is a
customer facing role, the right candidates will have demonstrable presentation
and customer services skills together with a passion for education and
conservation.
Applicants will also
need to be flexible as regular weekend working is required to meet the needs of
the business.
It is anticipated
that interviews will be held week commencing 28th May 2018.
