We need an
enthusiastic and outgoing individual to join our team at Tilgate Nature Centre.
Someone who can engage with our visitors by giving fun educational talks about
our animals, as well as hosting public activities and helping with animal husbandry
tasks.
Your main
role would be to interact with our visitors and tell them all about the
wonderful world of animals in both formal classroom sessions, and via public
presentations. Animal husbandry and animal training tasks will also be
required.
The successful
candidate will be passionate about the world of wildlife and sharing it with
others. They will have excellent customer service skills and qualifications in
animal care and/or education, with experience of public speaking.
Tilgate Nature
Centre is currently undergoing a major re-development with our new Madagascan
Zone opening this spring, and more zones and new animals planned for the
future. This position is a unique opportunity to be involved in the development
of the zoo.

This position is
a full-time permanent post of 37 hours a week, with days of work Sunday to
Thursday. There will be additional remuneration for weekend working as per the
local pay agreement.
